The act of creating has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, from using creek clay to form a torso when I was about 10-years-old, to my current day experimentation with a variety of more sophisticated media.  The joy experienced in working through artistic challenges is coupled with the immense satisfaction of learning and completing a piece of art.  Educating myself has been a life-long project, done by way of classes of instruction and workshops with professional artists, realizing that there is always more to learn.

I have long been a member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, a body of almost 400 members, and have received a number of awards in the yearly shows.  I have also exhibited with other groups in the Tucson/Tubac, AZ area, particularly with a group focusing on interpreting in watermedia the photographs of a professional photographer in our locale.

Through many life experiences I continue to add to my portfolio of painting possibilities, which seems limitless in scope.
